Rustic Primitive Farmhouse Egg Display
Add a touch of old mercantile charm to your home with this handmade primitive egg display, created and finished in my studio using layered paint and distressing techniques for an authentic aged look.
This solid wood plank has been hand painted and distressed to resemble an old pantry or general store display piece. Three vintage-style metal pudding cup basins are attached to the board and filled with Spanish moss and faux aged eggs for a charming farmhouse accent.
The center basin features a distressed cheesecloth tie with a primitive “Farm Fresh Eggs” hen tag and an aged hang tag that reads “Gathered Today,” giving the piece a nostalgic early farm market feel.
Perfect for a pie safe, cupboard, hutch, shelf, or tabletop display during spring and Easter, but neutral enough to remain out all season.

Each piece is individually distressed and finished by hand, giving it its own unique primitive character.
