As spring slowly returns and the home begins to feel lighter again, small seasonal pieces start finding their place—tucked onto shelves, resting on hutches, and bringing that soft, gathered look of early country homes.
These primitive grunged bunny shelf sitters were created to capture that feeling—like something you might have found displayed in an old farm shop or brought out year after year as part of a well-loved spring collection.
Each piece begins with a carefully sourced base and is individually hand-finished in my studio using my own grunging techniques and design process, giving it a distinctive, timeworn primitive character.
Each bunny is carefully aged using my own grunging recipe and technique to create a warm, timeworn finish inspired by early handmade spring décor and nostalgic country displays.
Styled as a charming seasonal vignette, each bunny features a hand-painted and distressed wooden block sign with hand-stamped wording. The bunnies are accented with homespun ribbon, stained cheesecloth, a safety pin, and a rusty bell, giving them authentic primitive farmhouse character.
Every bunny is uniquely decorated and finished by hand, making each one slightly different and part of the handmade aesthetic.
These primitive bunnies make a beautiful display on hutches, shelves, mantels, tiered trays, or spring tabletop displays.
