Exclusive Artwork and Design of This Old Primitive Farm
This handmade primitive “Strawberry Pie – Made Fresh Daily” sign features a vintage-style bakery illustration inspired by early American farm stands, country bakeries, and nostalgic mercantile advertising.
Designed to capture the charm of old roadside pie stands and farmhouse kitchens, the artwork reflects the warm, welcoming character of traditional country baking and primitive kitchen décor.
The artwork is carefully applied to a wooden base and hand-finished with layered distressing and aging techniques to create an authentically worn, antique appearance. Soft muted tones and intentional aging give the piece its warm primitive character, making it a perfect accent for rustic farmhouse kitchens, hutches, bakeries, or pantry décor.
The sign is finished with a rusty wire hanger accented with homespun ribbon, adding texture and authentic old-world primitive charm.
Each piece is individually finished in my studio, giving every sign its own unique character. Natural variations are part of the handmade process and are expected and celebrated.
🎨 Design Details
The vintage-style artwork is printed on heavy paper cardstock and hand-applied to a quality craft plywood base. Each sign is sealed with a soft matte protective finish to preserve the aged appearance while protecting the surface.
The edges are sanded and antiqued to create a timeworn primitive patina.
The sign is finished with a rusty metal hanger and homespun ribbon, creating a classic primitive folk art look.
